My career choice is to be a Financial Manager.
What is a Financial Manager?This individual will oversee the Finance Department and manage a team of finance staff. The incumbent will also coordinate budget preparations/administration and forecast/variance reporting for the company, as well as analyze and evaluate all contracts, business proposals and special projects.
Other responsibilities include monitoring the company's financial performance and determining fiscal requirements; coordination operational, management, statutory and financial reporting; budget planning, preparation, and implementation; as well as managing financial and operational processes to ensure uniformity and strong internal controls.
Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- CPA with at least 12 years of professional accounting experience with minimum 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Experience in higher education/biomedical/research industry preferred
- Good knowledge of the SAP financial system and Fund Accounting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self driven, resourceful with a "hands-on" personality
